Vanda is a professional choreographer, drama teacher and classically trained Ballroom dance instructor with over 20 years of experience. She started her dance career in Budapest, Hungary, where she danced and performed in theaters and movies from the age of 9. Vanda has appeared in 3 television series and numerous feature films.
She moved to the United States in 2001 and in the first few years worked and trained in New York City theaters. In 2004, she relocated to Chicago where she taught ballroom dancing along with well known European and American National Champions. In 2006, she moved to Naperville with her husband and started a family. Since then she has taught for dance studios, schools and colleges and choreographed musicals including Aladdin, Music Man and Wizard of Oz. She has led youth dance programs and received the Citizen Award from the Village of Woodridge for her community work. Her after school program in Woodridge earned the best educational program in the DuPage County area.
Over the years, Vanda has trained beginners who went on to place well at amateur championships. Many of her acting students have gained representation at agencies in Chicago and Los Angeles and have subsequently been hired by Chicago and New York City theaters.
While maintaining a high level of professionalism, she creates a very warm, supportive and fun atmosphere in class. She cares for every student to the smallest detail whether a beginner or advanced student.
Vanda began teaching at the Dance Spot in Naperville in 2013, where her clientele continued to grow. In February, 2018 she assumed ownership of the business renaming it Dance Spot of DuPage. She is proud to offer her various dance and theater skills in her newly redecorated, bright and inviting studio where she offers private, semi-private, and group classes, wedding party packages and more.
